Meet the woman who is giving away over 1,000 trees to make Fingal greener
Dominica McKevitt, head gardener at Ardgillan Castle, has given away more than 1,000 trees for free, as part of an initative by Fingal County Council.
Inspired by the Council’s Climate Change Action Plan, Dominica is encouraging people to plant the tress in order to help reduce carbon emissions in the Fingal area. The trees are native to Ireland and are pollinator-friendly, too.
This is a great example of simple actions that can be taken to help tackle the effects of climate change in Dublin.
Well done to Dominica and all the team involved!
