Vote for Dublin at the Global Climathon Awards!
Dublin City Council has submitted a proposal to the Global “Climathon” awards for 2020 and has been shortlisted for the global cities award – the only European City to reach the global finals. The winner will be announced at the ChangeNow conference in Paris on Friday, 31st January.
The Dublin project proposal relates to the use of nature-based surface water retention measures within urban areas and public spaces. By targeting the effects of increased rainfall and more frequent intense weather events, the project focuses on improving surface water management, increasing flood management, increasing biodiversity, addressing the heat island effect and aims to do so in close cooperation with communities.
Dublin is the only European city to reach the finals, and the winner will be decided by public vote, so please click the link below to cast your vote!
