Dublin Climate Action Week 2025

South Dublin County Council are delighted to offer your school two free workshops in your school, delivered by the ReDiscovery Centre.  

The free Workshops are 90 minutes in duration and can be delivered in your classroom or at the ReDiscovery Centre in Ballymun. You will need to arrange your own transport if you would like to attend the centre in Ballymun.  

Each workshop will be delivered to one class of 30 students (max) and the workshop is suitable for First Year to Transition Year. The aim of the workshops is to raise awareness among students about environmental problems. Through interactive activities students will explore the topic and empower them to take actions to contribute to environmental issues. 

Please contact academy@rediscoverycentre.ie early to book the workshops and avoid disappointment.

In this guided tour of Dodder Valley wetlands, learn about actions being taken to improve water quality, flood alleviation, local habitat and biodiversity and public well-being.

The scheme operates under Heat Works, Ireland’s first not-for-profit energy utility, fully owned by South Dublin County Council. The scheme makes a significant contribution to reducing carbon emissions in the area, saving almost 1,500 tonnes of CO2 each year and establishing Tallaght as a leader in innovative local climate action.

Learn simple, low-cost ways to cut your energy bills and boost home efficiency. Dublin’s Energy Agency Codema will show you how to use the kit’s five easy tools to check for heat loss, insulation issues, and appliance energy use. Free energy-saving tips and resources to take home!
